East Hampton's Daly Earns All-Star Honor
Will play in American Legion's Rawlings Futures Showcase game on Saturday.

Spencer Daly has been selected to play in the Rawlings Futures Showcase game Saturday in Simsbury.
The game features the best American Legion juniors (class of 2012) in the state and is attended by 30-40 college coaches. Daly was an All-Shoreline selection (honorable mention) and one of the top high school catchers in the state for East Hampton High School, was a key player and leader on the state championship team this spring.
Only two other East Hampton High School players (Ty Wosleger and Eric Peck, who both won the Shoreline Championship in 2008) have been selected for the game.

The game offers a real opportunity for players to perform in front of college coaches and hopefully generate some interest.
"I am proud of Spencer," East Hampton High School coach Scott Wosleger said. He is well deserving of this selection. He is committed to playing at the next level and this is a great step in the right direction. He is one of the top catchers in the state and being selected for this game is validation. It also adds credibility with the many college coaches that will be in attendance."
Daly played this summer for East Haddam Post 156.
