First Niagara Names East Hampton's Michelle Sawyer Manager for Glastonbury Bank Branch
Sawyer previously served as branch manager for First Niagara locations in Rocky Hill and Wethersfield

First Niagara Financial Group (Nasdaq: FNFG) today announced that Michelle Sawyer has been named Manager at the bank’s Main Street branch in Glastonbury.
Sawyer, who previously served as a Dual-Manager for First Niagara branches in Rocky Hill and Wethersfield, will be responsible for developing relationships in the Glastonbury community. She will report to Capital Area Manager, Martha Burgess.
“Michelle is a dedicated and well-respected bank manager who successfully managed two of our branches simultaneously,” said Burgess. “She is skilled at quickly understanding local market dynamics and knows how to effectively deploy First Niagara’s wide array of finance and banking resources to support our customers. We are looking forward to having Michelle bring this skill set with her during her transition to Glastonbury.”

Prior to joining First Niagara, Sawyer served as a Small Business Specialist, Assistant Manager and Banking Manager at Fleet Bank branches along the Connecticut shoreline.
“Customer service is my number one priority and I look forward to getting to know the residents and small businesses in Glastonbury and assisting them with all of their financial needs,” said Sawyer.

Sawyer holds an Associate’s Degree in General Studies from Manchester Community College and currently resides in East Hampton with her two sons.
