Boys' All-Shoreline teams named; tournament updates

The Shoreline Conference has named it's boys' All-Conference Teams for 2010-11. Introduction and pictures will be held starting at 6 p.m. on Friday, prior to the league championship game.

First Team

Taylor Rioux, Valley Regional; J.T. Smith, Hale Ray, Erikson Wasyl,  Coginchaug, Mitchell King, Valley Regional, Matt Burns, Cromwell, Hasheim Robertson, Hyde.

Second Team

Old Lyme Boys reach title game

Old Lyme pulled it's second straight upset in the Shoreline Conference tournament, winning at Cromwell 83-71 on Tuesday night. George Logan scored 22 points for the Wildcats and Colin Devlin added 21. Old Lyme defeated Hyde on Saturday. Old Lyme will play Valley Regional on Friday night in Old Saybrook for the Shoreline Conference title. The Warriors defeated Hale-Ray 70-45 Tuesday night in Deep River. During the regular season, Valley beat Old Lyme at home on Dec. 20, 56-34.

Girls' opponents set

Portland will play Kaynor Tech at home Thursday night at 7 p.m. in the second round of the Class S state tournament. Kaynor (14-7) defeated University 55-25 in the first round on Monday night. Sheanna James had 22 points and Audra Spellman 17 for Kaynor. ... East Hampton will face a familiar opponent in the second round on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Old Saybrook (10-12) upset Cheney Tech 69-42 in Manchester. The Bellringers beat their Shoreline Conference rival 57-52 in Old Saybrook on Jan. 4. ... In Class M play on Tuesday night, Morgan won at Seymour 57-49 to advance to the second round against Windham. In Bristol, Haddam-Killingworth lost 40-39 to St. Paul, last season's Class S champion.
