Native Salves with Donna Johnson

Donna Johnson (Mohawk) shares her knowledge about blending Native salves from herbs. Visitors begin in the Pequot Society Gallery to learn how herbs were integrated into Native daily life. Nature enthusiasts will then venture out to the terrace where they make their own herbal salves and insect repellent from natural materials. Guests will blend and purify with an herbal smudge before enjoying some well-deserved refreshments of gazpacho, ham, turkey, or veggie wrap, chips and strawberry shortcake. $45/$35 Museum members, limited to 20 people, ages 13 and older. Please RSVP by July 13 to Sarah Eleazer at (860) 396-6890 or sealeazer@pequotmuseum.org.
