Portland EMS Resident Honored at State Capitol Monday

Portland's Robert Ziegler, principal owner of Emergency Resource Management, LLC, received an award Monday.

A Portland resident with over 34 years of active Emergency Medical Services experience was awarded by the state during a special ceremony Monday.

Robert Ziegler, principal owner of Emergency Resource Management, LLC, was one of the recipients of the 2013 Connecticut State EMS Awards during an awards ceremony at the State Capitol Monday.

The ceremony was held to honor state EMS providers, and was hosted by the Connecticut Department of Public Health and the Connecticut Regional EMS Councils, in conjunction with National Emergency Medical Services Weeks.

Ziegler was honored for his over 34 years of active EMS and Fire Service experience in addition to supervisory experience.

"Robert has dedicated his life and career to EMS, and his extensive experience," State Rep. Christie Carpino said in a press release. "I congratulate him on this extraordinary accomplishment and thank him for keeping our community safe."
