The Friends of the Portland Library's next "Read & Recycle" collection will be held this Saturday, September 28 from 10 am to Noon in the Mary Flood Room of Portland Library.
The Friends group welcomes donations of gently-used books, puzzles, CDs, DVDs and games. This is the last collection prior to the FPL Annual Book Sale, which will be held the weekend of October 26-27 at the Portland Library.
Donors may enter through the Library's side door, and volunteers will be available to help carry donations. Donations are tax-deductible, and acknowledgement forms will be available.
Donated items are sold at various Friends' book sales held throughout the year, and all proceeds are used to support programs of the Portland Library.
