Rocca Perruccio of Portland Awarded Nursing Scholarship

The Wethersfield-Rocky Hill Professional Nurses Association (WRHPNA) awarded four scholarships to area nursing students at its annual meeting on May 9 in Wethersfield.

The four 2012 scholarships were awarded to: Melissa Edgerly of Middletown, a senior nursing student at Southern Connecticut State University; Rocca Perruccio of Portland, a registered nurse student at Central Connecticut State University; Paulina Gorecki of New Britain and Christie Petrossi of Berlin, both senior nursing students at UConn School of Nursing.
 
This year’s scholarships were made available through a gift from Marilyn and Harry Covey of Wethersfield; a memorial gift from the family of Juliette Libby; memorial gifts from the family and friends of the late Marge Gentino; and donations from the Central Connecticut Health District, WRHPNA members and others.
