Updated: Shoreline Girls' Tournament Ready to Begin

Final standings with playoff schedule

The Shoreline Conference girls' basketball regular season came to an end Wednesday night and the tournament pairings are set. The conference is wasting no time, however, with the first game scheduled for tonight.

Thursday night's first-round play-in game saw Old Lyme defeat visiting Hale-Ray, 48-44. The Wildcats will now play No. 1 seed Portland in a quarterfinal game on Saturday at 7 p.m.

The rest of the quarterfinal matchups on Saturday are: No. 7 seed Old Saybrook at No. 2 Coginchaug, 7 p.m.; No. 6 Haddam-Killingworth at No. 3 Cromwell, 7 p.m.; and No. 5 Morgan at No. 4 East Hampton at 2 p.m.

The winners will advance to the semifinals at Coginchaug on Tuesday. The final will be held Feb. 25 at Coginchaug at 7 p.m.
