This afternoon, our neighbor Mary who has a really old house, the William Bevin house actually here in East Hampton, stopped by while I was weed wacking and asked if I could turn her a new finial for her 100+ year old headboard that was under a slope and got cut off. I was happy to oblige! Here is what she needed! I found a nice old piece of spalted Maple from the wood pile.
