Unitarian Universalist Church in Meriden Worship Service - November 9, 2014

"Sikhism, Subversion, and . . . Lunch" - Worship Leader: Kayla Parker - Ministerial Intern

This past week, Sikhs celebrated the birthday of their founder, Guru Nanak. Sikhism was founded and remains most prevalent in India - but there’s a temple as close as Southington, CT. Come and discover what we as Unitarian Universalists can learn from Sikhism. We’ll explore everything from the tradition of sharing a meal together after the service to the socially subversive tenets built into this faith.

You will have the opportunity to enact this learning right away by joining in a COMMUNITY POTLUCK to celebrate our becoming a Teaching Congregation and the presence of Kayla Parker as our Ministerial Intern in this congregation!
