Animal Control Officers Rescued Many Cats, Who Now Need Homes

After an eviction, animal control officer Owen Little said many cats were left behind. The shelter now has 23 cats, kittens up for adoption.

EAST HAVEN, CT —East Haven animal control officers were called to a home following an eviction, Animal Control Officer Owen Little said. What they found were "many, many" cats.

As of Wednesday, the animal shelter has 23 cats and kittens as a result of the rescue of the numerous felines in the house.

Little took to Facebook to ask the community to consider adopting a cat.

"I know everyone loves kittens, but please consider an adult cat also," he said, noting that the photos he shared represent just a sampling of the many cats now in the shelter.
