How to Eat The Wild: Culinary Possibilities with Karen Monger

Join us at Hagaman Memorial Library, 227 Main Street on Wednesday, July 15 at 6:30 p.m. and explore the culinary possibilities of the best tasting edible wild plants and mushrooms found in southern New England with stunning photos of our all-original recipes.

Karen Monger and her husband have presented over 200 walks and programs to libraries, nature centers,garden clubs, summer camps, mycological clubs, fish and game clubs, homeschool groups, land trusts, and private individuals since 2016, when their bookwas published, Adventures in Edible Plant Foraging: Finding, Identifying, Harvesting, and Preparing Native and Invasive Wild Plants.

Extra parking is available at East Haven Town Hall (250 Main Street), KeyBank (after 12:00 p.m. on Saturdays and after 5:00 p.m. on weekdays), and in the Stop and Shop lot behind the library.
