East Haven Police Investigate Armed Robbery

The robbery occurred at First Niagara Bank.

At approximately 1:37 p.m. Wednesday, the East Haven Police Department responded to First Niagara Bank located at 50 Frontage Road for a reported bank robbery, police said in a release.

Upon investigation, it was determined that two males robbed the bank, armed with a gun. The suspects fled on foot in an unknown direction. It is unknown if any vehicle was involved.

An undetermined amount of cash was taken. No one was injured during the robbery. The suspects were described as black males, wearing ski masks.

The first suspect was wearing a plaid shirt and dark colored hat. The second suspect was wearing a light or white colored shirt. The East Haven Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the two suspects. Anyone with information is asked to call the East Haven Police Department at 203-468-3820.
