EAST HAVEN, CT — The East Haven Board of Education is seeking a $49.72 million budget for fiscal 2019-20, which would increase spending by 3.7 percent if approved by the town, the New Haven Register reports.
Superintendent of Schools Erica Forti said the district needs the full amount to ensure progress, the Register reports. Forti cautioned that any cuts could impact class size.
No vote has been taken on the school board's budget request. The school district has received less than 1 percent increases over the past few years.
