East Haven Welcomes 3 New Firefighters

EAST HAVEN, CT — Welcome to East Haven's newest firefighters, Eric Demeraski, Sal Carlo and John Hopkins.

In a Facebook post, firefighters welcomes the new kids on the block and shared a bit of advice.

"Welcome probationary firefighters Eric Demeraski, Sal Carlo and John Hopkins. Remember the job was here before you got here and will be here long after you leave, you’re just passing through. Respect it, it’s the greatest job in the world. Be part of the solution not part of the problem. Learn from the senior guys. You’ll learn something new everyday on this job if you pay attention.
