Our Lady of Pompeii Hosts its Half A Century Old Carnival
For 55 years, the parish family of Our Lady of Pompeii in East Haven has celebrated the summer with an annual carnival. This year’s event will be held on Tuesday, July 26 through Saturday, July 30 from 5:30 PM until 11 PM each night.
The half a century old family tradition features rides, games, delicious food choices, headlined by the best fried dough around, and multi-raffle opportunities.

According to Rev. John L. Lavorgna, parish administrator, the carnival brings together friends and neighbors from throughout the region to enjoy the food and festivities that have made the carnival
a highlight of the summer in the greater New Haven area.
“Our Lady of Pompeii Carnival is an opportunity to celebrate our community, especially the friendships and traditions that give us joy,” said Lavorgna. “Our parishioners work so hard each year to make this a great event, and new generations can make their own special memories. All are welcome to join us!”
