Local Democrat Looking to Make Run for East Haven Mayor
Paul Thompson announced the formation of an exploratory committee to enter the 2015 Mayoral race.
Life-long East Haven resident Paul Thompson announced today the formation of an exploratory committee to enter the 2015 East Haven Mayoral race.
“I believe my extensive business, education, real estate and years of service to the East Haven community will make me an effective leader for our taxpayers,” Thompson said in a press release.
Thompson is currently a member of the East Haven Democratic Town Committee and former Chairman of the Town Council. Paul is also an East Haven real estate professional working daily with some of the major financial institutions in the United States. He lives in town with his wife of 38 years, Ann Marie and has two sons Paul Jr. and Steven both products of the East Haven school system and UConn graduates.

“I form this exploratory committee knowing the residents of East Haven demand better for their families and the image of this town,” Thompson said in the release. “East Haven is a close knit community; the outpouring of support from the residents and business owners has been very encouraging.We have always been a town that is hyper-focused on politics, together we can forge positive relationships and help East Haven reach its full potential. “
Last week, local business owner Sal Maltese announced that he was establishing an exploratory committee for a run at the mayoral race.
