• Car fire damages East Haven home; acetylene torches found in vehicle (thehour.com) — Firefighters in East Haven quickly knocked down a car fire on Andy's Drive that had engulfed a vehicle and caused minor damage to a nearby home. No one was hurt, but crews reported small explosions and later found multiple acetylene torches and a small tank inside the car, underscoring the potential danger to nearby residents.

(courant.com) — An East Haven-based nonprofit, Tail to Paw Animal Support, grew from one horrific cruelty case into a volunteer effort that's now helped keep more than 400 pets with their families. Serving Greater New Haven, the group offers food, basic vet care, and case management so financially struggling owners, including seniors and veterans, don't have to surrender beloved animals.
