Officers Joe DiNatale, Rachel Wallinger, and Francisco Ortiz also earned MADD awards for their strong work removing impaired drivers and helping keep East Haven's roads safer.
   

• FEMA awards millions to emergency responders throughout Connecticut (wtnh.com) — East Haven's fire department is set to receive nearly $274,000 in FEMA funding to replace and upgrade firefighting hose, part of a broader $3.8 million package for Connecticut responders. Neighboring towns like Branford, Guilford, and West Haven are also getting money for training, vehicles, and safety gear, strengthening emergency response capacity across the region.
