Stolen Car Chase in East Haven, Branford Includes Accused Running Through Swamp, Captured At Diner: Report
Police say the man ditched his car on the tracks of the Shore Line Trolley Museum.

EAST HAVEN, CT — Police officers pursuit of a stolen vehicle that went through East Haven and Branford ended when the suspect ditched his vehicle on the tracks at the Shore Line Trolley Museum, NBC Connecticut reports.
Police said the suspect fled on foot and was taken into custody when he went into a local diner and asked to use the phone, but police happened to be nearby and arrested him.
WTNH News 8 reports that the man tried to elude police by running through a chilly swamp and that the wet man entered the Twin Pines Diner around 5 a.m. looking to use the phone. News 8 reports that when the man was taken into custody he repeatedly cursed as police officers.
