ELLINGTON, CT — November was an incredibly lucky month for CT Lottery players buying tickets in Ellington, with four winners in a 10-day stretch claiming prizes ranging from $ 1 million to $50,000. Those winnings seem like peanuts, however, compared to the bonanza claimed Thursday by a local resident.

A $10 investment in a $150,000 a Year For Life! scratch ticket turned out to be worth a cool $3.3 million for Adam Lobaugh. He bought the lucky ticket at the Fas Mart convenience store at 1 Main Street, according to the CT Lottery website.

The CT Lottery posts winners of $10,000 or more as public record.
