CT Renters Rebate Program For Ellington Residents
State law provides a reimbursement program for Connecticut renters who are elderly or totally disabled and meet the income requirements.
If you are age 65 or older, or age 18+ and receiving Social Security Disability, you may qualify for the Renters’ Rebate Program.
This income-based program provides a one-time annual rebate based on the rent you paid in the previous year.
Income guidelines (based on 2025 calendar year):
Single: $46,300
Couple: $56,500

The application period runs from April 1 through September 30.
To apply, contact the Town of Ellington Human Services Department at 860-870-3128 to schedule an appointment. A list of required documents will be provided prior to your appointment.
