Man Facing Somers Threatening Charge After 2nd Arrest This Week

A man has been charged with second-degree threatening and violating a protective order by state police in Somers.

SOMERS, CT — A man has been charged with second-degree threatening and violating a protective order by state police in Somers following his arrest in Enfield on charges of stalking, attempting to assault police officers and other crimes.

Raymond Lee, 37, was charged on a $750,000 bond on Thursday, state police said.

Lee, who is already on probation, was tracked to a Somers address he was near by a GPS bracelet, just after 7 a.m. on Thursday, according to a warrant. He was prohibited from being in the area, state police said.

When contacted on the phone, he told authorities he was delivering appliances in the area, but could not name a company he was working for, according to a warrant.

He was eventually taken into custody after showing up at another location on Main Street in Somers, according to a warrant.

On Sunday, Enfield police received a call from the Food Bag convenience store on Hazard Avenue in the Scitico section of town from a woman who said she was being stalked by Lee, according to a report.

When police arrived, Lee fled in a vehicle and nearly struck an officer, but after briefly eluding police, the vehicle crashed into a nearly pole.
