Prosecutor Wants Bail Revoked For Ellington Woman He Calls 'Danger to the Community'
The woman was convicted for embezzling $1.7 million from a South Windsor law firm and has been charged with stealing three times since then.

An Ellington woman, who served 40 months in federal prison for embezzling $1.7 million from a South Windsor law firm, is due back in court Monday after a prosecutor said she is a “danger to the community” and asked a judge to revoke her bail following her latest arrest, according to the Hartford Courant.
Patricia Meehan, 49, was arrested Jan. 2 for allegedly stealing $40,000 cash from The Image Company Hair Salon in Glastonbury. She was an employee at the salon from September 2013 until she was fired in September 2014, according to the Courant.
Meehan is free on $75,000 bail.

Previously, Meehan was arrested on state charges of stealing from two businesses where she worked while she was awaiting sentencing in the federal case, according to the Courant.
The Courant reports that those prosecutions were put on hold when she was allowed into a pretrial program designed for people who have a mental health issue that contributed to their offense, but now Prosecutor Anthony Spinella is asking that those two cases be placed back on the docket with her new arrest.
