| Updated

ENFIELD, CT — Moody Road remains closed in the area of 33 Moody Road, the local headquarters of the Outlaws motorcycle club, as law enforcement conducts an active investigation.

Connecticut State Police confirmed Thursday morning that activity on Moody Road is due to an active and ongoing investigation. The agency said it had no additional information to release.

An eyewitness told Patch they saw what appeared to be a SWAT team near the closed area around sunrise Thursday. State police have not confirmed a tactical-team deployment or released details about the investigation.

Enfield Police Chief Alaric Fox said the road will likely remain closed for some time and directed further questions to state police. Enfield police initially said the affected stretch was between North Maple Street and Elm Street and that there was no immediate danger to the public.

Motorists should use alternate routes.
