Another Building Fire in Enfield
Friday morning's fire is the latest in a string of fires in the Elm Street area.

Enfield firefighters responded to another fire in the neighborhood that’s been the scene of a recent string of suspicious blazes.
According to WFSB, firefighters responded to a structure fire at 364 Elm Street around 7:30 a.m. Friday.
The building is close to where a suspicious fire broke out on New Year’s Eve. Since early November, there have been at least five suspected arsons in the neighborhood.

- Report any suspicious behavior or persons to the Police Department Immediately by calling 911.
- Report any smoke or fire to the FD immediately by calling 911. Don’t assume someone else will call

- Remove overstuffed furniture from porches
- Remove highly flammable items from outdoor areas close to your home, such as piles of leaves or yard waste, stacks of papers or recycling bins, and flammable liquids like gasoline.
- Keep your home secure by locking all doors and windows, and keeping outdoor lighting on.Check to make sure your smoke alarms are working.
- Have a home escape plan and discuss it your family, make sure you have to accessible exits from your home.
- Pick a meeting place away from your home.
- In the event of a fire, exit immediately. Do not stop to collect belongings.
- Educate your children. They are likely to hide in a closet or under a bed during a fire if they haven’t been told what to do.
- DO NOT REENTER A BURNING BUILDING FOR ANY REASON.
