Child Porn Possession Charges Lodged Against Enfield Man
Jason Xiong is accused of possessing more than 100 photos and videos of child pornography.

ENFIELD, CT —An Enfield resident was arrested Monday on a warrant charging him with possession of child pornography after police said a search of his computer and phone revealed more than 100 photos and videos of sex acts involving children.
Jason Xiong, 24, was released on a $50,000 cash/surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Enfield Superior Court April 16, Lt. Willie Pedemonti said.
In July 2019, Enfield detectives received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children reporting an image of a naked girl appearing to be between the ages of 13 and 15 had been uploaded by a user on Discord Inc., an online all-in-one voice and texting service for video game users, according to an affidavit.

The IP address was assigned to Cox Communications and the account was at Xiong's Donna Street home, according to the affidavit.
Further reports from Discord indicated many more images from the same IP address were uploaded throughout July 2019, most of which contained "lascivious exhibition ... of naked females appearing to be between the ages of 11-14 years old," according to the affidavit.

A search warrant was executed at Xiong's home Dec. 23, during which two hard drives were found under the sofa cushions in Xiong's basement bedroom, police said. After initially denying any involvement, Xiong later admitted trying to hide the hard drives upon learning police were at the house, police said. A cell phone containing numerous photos and videos was also confiscated, according to the affidavit.
Police said they found sixty-six photos and 43 videos.
"Some of the children in the videos appeared to be as young as 1 year old," the affidavit reads.
