Enfield Bar Donates 200 Bikes to Toys For Joy
This is the ninth year the bar and its patrons have collaborated to purchase bikes for the program.

ENFIELD, CT — For the ninth straight year, a great number of local youths will have a new bicycle to ride on Christmas, thanks to a longtime Enfield establishment and its generous patrons.
On Monday morning, Jiggy's Café at 41 Enfield Street donated 200 brand new tricycles and bicycles to the Toys For Joy program. One hundred bikes were picked up by the Salvation Army in Springfield, and 100 more went to the Enfield Police Department’s Toys for Joy program.
The program is spearheaded by Jiggy's owner John Accorsi, and is supported through various fundraisers, including a holiday party organized by Kelly Baker.

120 of the bikes were bought during Black Friday through Walmart, in anticipation of coming close to last year's total of 144 bikes. The Walmart in East Windsor assembled them and held them for pickup.
Proceeds from the holiday party and other events generated enough funds to purchase an additional 80 bikes from Toys R’ Us in Manchester. Toys R’ Us helped out by selling assembled bikes and provided a discount.
