Enfield Bus Service Outlines Hygiene Practices for Passengers
The new rules reportedly are the result of someone changing a baby's diaper on a bus.

Riders who use the town-operated Magic Carpet bus service are facing new guidelines of what is considered acceptable personal hygiene practices.
The guidelines reportedly were issued after complaints from drivers and passengers, according to NBC Connecticut.
In an announcement that’s posted on the buses, “Magic Carpet strives to create a clean, comfortable environment for our customers. … We as that all riders maintain good personal hygiene to help insure that everyone’s trip on the Magic Carpet is an enjoyable one.

Riders are reminded that good personal hygienic includes “proper bathing and wearing clean clothing.”
Riders have been asked to “refrain from certain hygiene-related activities — clipping nails, brushing teeth, changing an infant.” And “extremely poor hygiene includes but is not limited to highly offensive odors, secretion of bodily fluids.”

Social Services Director Pamela Brown said “soiling incidents” on buses in February prompted the edict, according to the NBC Connecticut report that can be found here.
