Enfield Coronavirus Update: More Positive Cases Confirmed
More than 200 additional cases of the new coronavirus were confirmed statewide in the latest figures released Friday afternoon.
ENFIELD, CT — There are now 10 confirmed cases of the new coronavirus in Enfield, according to the latest figures released Friday afternoon by state public health officials.
Numerous measures have been taken locally and throughout the state to help combat the spread of the virus, including a ban on social gatherings, closure of schools and town buildings and constant reminders to wash hands thoroughly and avoid contact with others whenever possible. Residents are urged to practice "social distancing," maintaining at least six feet of space between oneself and others.

A total of 1,291 people have been positively diagnosed with the coronavirus in Connecticut, with 173 patients requiring hospitalization and 27 deaths. Fairfield County has accounted for 752 confirmed cases, or 58.2 percent of the state's total. In Hartford County, 189 cases have been confirmed, with 36 hospitalizations and two deaths.
