Enfield Man Faces Weapons Charges Following Air Gun Incident

The suspect reported pointed the gun at a resident sitting on a porch.

An Enfield man was arrested on threatening and weapons charges following an incident with a town resident.

Shawn P. Schillinger, 20, of 16 Woodward Ave., was arrested shortly after 6 p.m. Wednesday following the incident. He was charged with first-degree threatening, illegal use of a facsimile firearm and second-degree breach of peace, according to police records.

His arrest came after police went to Cottage Green in the Thompsonville section of town to investigate a report that a man pulled out what was an air gun from his waistband and aimed it at another person who was sitting on his porch, according to The Courant.
