Enfield Man Severely Injured in Head-On Collision

The accident happened late Saturday night on Route 32 in Stafford, according to state police.

STAFFORD, CT - An Enfield resident was seriously injured in a head-on collision Saturday night in Stafford, state police said.

Seth Lepak, 30, of 278 Hazard Ave., was traveling southbound on Route 32, also known as River Road, when his 2004 Hyundai Elantra collided head-on with a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado, police said.

Lepak was trapped in his vehicle and was eventually freed by EMS personnel. He was flown by Lifestar helicopter to Bay State Medical Center in Springfield, Mass. with serious injuries, police said.

The operator of the Silverado, Shawn McDuffee, 23, and his passenger, Brian McDuffee, 21, both of Stafford, were transported to Hartford Hospital with minor injuries, police said.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call Trooper Tyler Burnell of the Connecticut State Police at 860-896-3200.
