Enfield Obituary: Jane Butler, 87

Jane M. Butler, 87, of Suffield, beloved wife of the late George Butler, Sr. passed away Thursday, March 17, 2016 surrounded by her loving family.

Born May 10, 1928 in Philadelphia, PA daughter of the late Edward and Bella (Beauregard) Merrigan. She lived in Enfield before moving to Suffield in 1961. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church and the Suffield Country Club. Jane enjoyed sewing, painting, gardening and cooking but most of all spending time with her family.

She is survived by a son, Robert Butler and his wife Stacy of Berlin; two daughters, Joanne Wachowiak of Davidsonville, MD, Linda Lynch and her husband Jeff of Hingham, MA; ten grandchildren, Nikolas and Natalie Wachowiak, Ryan and Brendan Butler, Joshua, Steven and Brittney Butler, Morgan, JJ and Erin Lynch; four great grandchildren, Hailey, Ella, Aiden and Claire; a cousin and great friend, Constance Chapman; and three very special friends, Ed, Kristina and Sam. She was predeceased by a son, George Butler, Jr.; a brother, Edward Merrigan; a son-in-law, Melvin Wachowiak.

Her family will receive friends Monday, March 28, 2016 from 12-2 PM at Nicholson & Carmon Funeral Home, 443 East St. N. (Rt. 159), Suffield followed by a memorial service at 2 PM at Nicholson & Carmon Funeral Home.
