
Nancy Ann Bauer, 67, wife of the late William J. Bauer, Jr., of Enfield, died Sunday, March 27, 2016.
Born in Detroit, MI., the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Schrier) Bergen, she made her home in Enfield for the past 30 years. Nancy received her Bachelor’s degree in Economics and English Literature from the University of Hartford and received the designation CPCU at UConn in 1994. She began her career at The Arthur Noll Insurance Agency and in 2001 she joined The Hartford and was promoted to a Senior Sales Underwriter. She was the matriarch of her family and will be missed by all. Nancy was an avid reader and volunteered for the Catholic Diocese of Enfield, helping children in their regional spelling bee.
She is survived by her four siblings, Diane Saulnier of Ellington and her children Robert and Sean, David Bergen and his wife Ladislava of St. Pete Beach, FL, Dan Bergen and his wife Linda of Carmel, CA and their children, Joe and Shannon, Sally Biggs of West Hartford and her late husband James L. Biggs, Jr and their son Shamus.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, at 10:00 a.m. in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 872 Farmington Ave., West Hartford. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4:30-7:30 p.m. at the Molloy Funeral Home, 906 Farmington Ave., West Hartford.
