The new deputy chief will assume those duties near the end of March.

ENFIELD, CT — Capt. Fred Hall, a three-decade veteran of the Enfield Police Department, has been promoted to Deputy Chief, according to an announcement from Town Manager Christopher Bromson. The promotion is effective March 29, 2019.
Hall replaces Deputy Chief Gary Collins, who has admirably served the town of Enfield since 1984.
“While Deputy Chief Collins will be missed, we are very fortunate to have someone of Fred’s caliber, experience and insight to fulfill this command position” Bromson said.
