ENFIELD, CT — A Massachusetts woman accused of accepting money in exchange for sex with a local man in September was charged Wednesday on a warrant in connection with that incident.

Glenda Cruz, 23, of Springfield, was charged with prostitution and using a motor vehicle without permission.

According to a police report, on Sept. 20, 2016, an Enfield man picked up Cruz in Springfield and brought her to his home, where they allegedly partied and he paid her to have sex.

When the man awoke the next morning, he realized his car was missing. A few days later, he found the vehicle in Springfield, Sferrazza said.

Cruz told police the man had paid her for sex that night. She claimed when she woke up, she wanted to buy cigarettes, so she took the man's car and got lost coming back, so she drove home to Springfield, Sferrazza said.
