Enfield Rallies to Help Fire Survivors
A town-wide relief effort is launched to help the five survivors of the fire that killed four residents.

The Town of Enfield Social Services Department is coordinating relief efforts for the families of the fire victims on South River Street in Enfield.
And on Facebook, several residents are offering donations of clothing to help the five people who survived the conflagration that destroyed the duplex and killed four residents early Wednesday.
The cause of the fire at 38 S. River St. in the Thompsonville neighborhood of town, remains under investigation.

According to Enfield’s Social Services Director Pamela Brown, “Financial contributions can be made to the Enfield Food Shelf and mailed to Social Services at 100 High Street, Enfield, CT 06082. We will help the fire victims to have emergency shelter, relocation funds and meet their basic needs. The Red Cross has provided several nights in a hotel and funds for emergency food and clothing for the next few days. Donations will help provide this support until new permanent housing is found.”

“will be taking an offering at our Christmas Service Sunday, December 21st to benefit the fire victims from the South River Street Fire. Help spread the word! Lets help these families in a big way.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the loved ones of those who lost their lives in today’s fire in Enfield.
When one family in our community grieve, we all grieve.
Also keep the families displaced by the fire in your prayers and our fire fighters who face the flames and the tragedy with courage.”
