Enfield Town Council Fills Vacant Seat

A vacancy had existed since the resignation of Kathleen Sarno in early April.

ENFIELD, CT - The Enfield Town Council was restored to a full 11 members Monday night with the appointment of Democratic Town Committee chair Elizabeth Davis to a vacant seat.

Davis was unanimously approved by a 9-0 vote; councilor Carol Hall is on vacation out of the country, Mayor Scott Kaupin said.

"I am very happy and thankful for all the support from all of the town councilors," Davis said. "I'm looking forward to the opportunity to serve on the Town Council and to work together for the betterment of our community."

"I welcome Liz Davis to the Town Council and look forward to working with her as we address the various needs of our community," Kaupin said. "We had a very honest and open interview with Liz last week and got to understand her goals and vision for Enfield, plus her extensive service to both our nation and community over the years. Liz is definitely up for this challenge and I look forward to serving with her."

Davis replaces Kathleen Sarno, who resigned on April 4 after serving less than five months on the council.
