Romeo and Juliet Auditions

Auditions for a modern-day interpretation of Romeo and Juliet will be held Sunday beginning at 6:00pm. All actors must be available for callbacks on Monday, January 31 at 7:00pm. Rehearsals will be Monday and Wednesday evenings and Sunday afternoons beginning February 23. Production dates are May 6 - 21, 2011.  2011.

All actors must prepare a Shakespearean monologue (monologues need not be memorized, please visit shakespeare-monologues.org if you need suggestions).

Actors are needed for 9 men and 5 women. A woman will be cast in the role of Mercutio, Romeo’s best friend. Experience with Shakespeare is not required. Teens are encouraged to audition, but only teens 16 and up may be considered for lead roles. It is recommended that teens bring a parent to auditions.
