In celebration of Dr. Seuss's birthday, the Springfield Museum will hold these fesitivies on March 5 from 10:00am to 4:00pm:
- Poetry in Motion Crew presents Hip Hop Dimensions - Noon and 2:00pm - A family-friendly performance that inspires youth to think of dancing as a positive outlet for artistic expression. (Seating is limited.)
- Dr. Seuss Cake Contest - Cake Displays, 11:00am - 2:30pm - View the entries and vote for your favorite.
Ongoing Activities:
- Scavenger Hunts, 11:00am - 3:45pm - Explore the galleries and locate objects in the art and history museums.
- Art Activity, 11:30am - 3:00pm - Make a smiley face ornament.
- Photo Booth, 11:30am - 3:30pm - Take home a strip of photos. Special thanks to New England Photo Booth.
- Planetarium Shows, 11:15am, noon, 1:00 & 2:00pm - Embark on an outer space adventure. Additional fee.
- Art Discovery Center, Noon - 3:45pm - Create a Birthday Cake Hat, play gallery games, and try on costumes.
- Family Science Adventures, 1:00pm - 3:30pm - Look for the roving scientist! You never know what activities they have in store.
Activites are free with museum admission, unless noted.
