Over 145 individuals from the community participated in our first Family Day Frisbee Jamboree held on June 10th at Higgins Field in Enfield. Everyone enjoyed a free day of Frisbee Golf, family games, a hotdog lunch, ice cream, prizes, and a free Frisbee. A special thank you to all the community volunteers and partners who made the event a success including: David Mourad, from the Greater Hartford Disc Golf Association, Thompsonville Firefighters, Enfield Football Team and Coaches, Enfield Rotary Club, The Network, Enfield Loaves & Fishes, Enfield Women’s Club, the Parent Leadership Team, ShopRite of Enfield | Miller Farms Family Markets, Enfield Public Library, Community Renewal Team of Hartford, Enfield Housing Authority, and Connecticut Water.
The Frisbee Jamboree event is an initiative of Healthy Meals=Healthy Minds, a collaboration between ERfC and the Enfield Food Shelf, funded by the MassMutual Foundation Mutual Impact employee grant, to ensure all Enfield children and families have the food and resources they need to succeed in school and in life.
