Victims Identified In Triple Fatal Enfield Crash: UPDATE
The fatal accident closed a section of the highway for several hours this weekend. State police released the victim's names on Tuesday.

ENFIELD, CT — State police on Tuesday afternoon released the identities of the three people killed in a single car crash on Interstate 91 in Enfield Sunday morning. The victims are passengers Taahir Harris, 19, of Southington, Kerion Rogers, 20, of Bristol and Moses Negron, 18, of New Britain.
The driver, Christopher A. Vega, 20, of Plainville, suffered a minor injury in the accident. State police say Vega's vehicle, a 1999 Lexus GS300, was traveling on Interstate 91 in the area of Exit 47E when it veered off the right side of the roadway, traveled through the grass shoulder, up an embankment and hit a tree.
The three passengers were pronounced dead at the scene, while Vega was taken to Saint Francis Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, state police said.

The Hartford Courant reports that the young men were returning from a party at the time of the accident.

(Original story) ENFIELD, CT — State police have identified the driver involved in a single-car crash on Interstate 91 which claimed the lives of three passengers Sunday morning.
According to a police report, at 7:18 a.m., a 1999 Lexus GS300 operated by Christopher Vega, 20, of Plainville, was traveling southbound on I-91 near Exit 47E when it veered off the right side of the highway, traveled up an embankment and crashed into a tree.
The three passengers were pronounced dead at the scene. Their names have not been released pending notification of next of kin.
Vega was transported to St. Francis Hospital in Hartford for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, police said.
The highway was shut down near the accident site for several hours Sunday morning, reopening shortly before 2 p.m.
An investigation into the crash is continuing, and anyone with information is asked to contact Trooper Michael Falana at 860-534-1000.
