PRIME Fitness at the Enfield Senior Center is a great way to get into shape at your own pace. It is different than other fitness centers. Fitness professionals design a program just for you. They are also on staff to guide you through your program and offer assistance. The costs of a membership is $25 for a month, $60 for three months, $100 for 6 months, $150 for a year membership. Some Anthem Blue Cross insurance plans cover the cost of your fitness center membership. Call your provider for more information.
If you are having problems with your computer or need extra help learning a skill, stop into the Computer Learning Center for one-on-one help from knowledgeable volunteers. No need to register, just drop in for Computer Solutions on Friday, Feb. 11 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
The program How to Leave Your Legacy to Your Loved Ones Instead of the IRS was cancelled because of snow. It is rescheduled for Thursday, Feb. 10 at 10 a.m. Financial Advisor John Dee will share information and answer your questions.

If you’re a Bingo enthusiast, join us as we venture to Foxwoods Casino to play High-Stakes Bingo on Thursday, March 24. You’ll have many opportunities to play the game at this matinee from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Payout is $300 a game. Cost is $49 per person which includes motor coach transportation and admission. This price does not include “special” games. After Bingo, you’ll have the opportunity to try your luck in the casino or browse through the gift shops. Please sign up at the Senior Center office, space is available on a first-come basis. Departure time: 8:00 a.m. Return time: 5:30 p.m.
On Feb. 10, learn to make a Mini Tote Basket. Create a double-handled small tote basket to fill with cookies, or candies. The class begins at 12:30. The resident fee is $6 and the nonresident fee is $7. There is a $10 materials fee payable to the instructor.

Make a bracelet, necklace or earrings on Friday, February 18 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. or Thursday, Feb. 17 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The Jewelry Class fee for residents is $4 and nonresidents is $5. All beads can be purchased from the instructor.
Evening Program Coordinator, Jaime, is starting a Crossword Puzzle Club on Wednesday, Feb. 9 at 7 p.m. If you enjoy this challenging word game, join Jaime for collaboration, challenge and fun. There is no charge for this event.
Get your ticket for a special Valentine’s Day. On Monday, Feb. 14 at 6 p.m., enjoy the sounds of Vinnie Brandi on vocals and his full band singing “The Way You Look Tonight, “ “Strangers in the Night,” “My Way” and more romantic songs made famous by Frank Sinatra. At intermission, dessert and coffee will be served. Have a swanky, swingin’ Valentine’s Day. Tickets for Valentine’s Day with the Sounds of Sinatra are on sale in the Senior Center office for $7 per person.

UConn fans won’t want to miss this opportunity to watch the defending national champion UConn women’s basketball team take on Syracuse University on Feb. 28, at Gampel Pavilion on the UConn campus. Don’t miss this opportunity to watch these two Big East Teams battle it out on the court. Cheer for your favorite athletes and get caught up in the excitement of the game. Enjoy the live action as Basketball Hall of Fame coach Geno Auriemma works to keep his Huskies on their winning streak. Tickets for this game will be in the 2nd tier - in sections 213, 214, or 215. The motor coach will depart the Senior Center at 5:30 p.m. for a 7:30 p.m. tipoff. Tickets can be purchased at the Senior Center front office.
We are asking for your donations of teacups, trinkets, and attic treasures for Antiques Appraisal Night. The evening combines a silent auction, appraisals of your treasures and even a $1 table where you might find a valuable item for only a dollar. If you are cleaning out and want to donate something that you are not using any more that still has value, we would love it. If you have an antique that someone else might want to bid on, please keep us in mind. This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Enfield Senior Center, a 501c3 non-profit organization, who raise funds to support the Enfield Senior Center. More details will follow.

Diabetes Basics – Monday, Feb. 7 at 6 p.m. Jessica Perini, M.D. will discuss the main types of diabetes and symptoms.
The Aging Brain – Thursday, Feb. 10 at 1 p.m. Presented by Martin Oliveira, Psy.D and sponsored by Easter Seal Capitol Region & Eastern Connecticut. Learn how the brain changes as we age and what we experience from the inconveniences of age-related memory loss to more serious conditions. A Speech-Language Pathologist, Occupational Therapist as well as the Neuropsychologist will be a part of the presentation.
