ENFIELD, CT — A monstrous superstar who made his mark as part of one of the most notorious factions in World Wrestling Entertainment history, then later took on megastar The Rock at Wrestlemania 32, will be performing in Enfield Saturday as part of a stellar lineup of exciting professional wrestling excitement.

Erick Redbeard, formerly known as Erick Rowan during a 9-year run in WWE which saw him twice win the Smackdown tag team championship, will compete Saturday at Mercy Me, a 9-match show put on by Blitzkrieg! Pro Wrestling. He will team with Perry Von Vicious and Leary in a 6-man tag match against Mike Anthony, Dante Drago and Lucas Chase.

Redbeard gained fame as part of The Wyatt Family, debuting in 2012 alongside Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper in NXT. He and Harper won the Smackdown tag team titles in 2018, then he teamed with Daniel Bryan to capture the straps in 2019.

In addition to Wrestlemania, Redbeard made numerous other major pay-per-view appearances, including the Royal Rumble, SummerSlam, Money In the Bank and Hell In a Cell. He took on some of the biggest stars in WWE, such as Kane, The Big Show, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, The New Day, Kevin Owens and The Usos.

Another star slated to appear at Mercy Me is EFFY, who with his partner Allie Katch, will challenge for the Blitzkrieg! Pro tag team championship against MSP (Aggro and Danger Kid).

EFFY, known as "The Weapon of Sass Destruction," was ranked No. 77 of the top 500 singles wrestlers in the world in the PWI 500 in 2020. He is well-known throughout the world, holding titles in many independent promotions across the country.

"As EFFY, I’ve had the pleasure of not only competing globally but also hosting my own pro wrestling shows highlighting the best in LGBTQIA+ talent," he told Patch. "MSP has been in my realm before and proven to be not only a team with big vibes, but also the skills to get the job done. To have a chance to face them with my partner Allie Katch, and at Blitzkrieg! of all places, whose reputation in indie wrestling has always been high-caliber and inclusive, is a massive win for us already. The real win, though, comes when we beat MSP in this tag tournament for IWTV and show the Blitzkrieg! fans why EFFY and Allie Katch have been so dominant in our sport."

VSK will defend the Blitzkrieg! Bedlam championship against CPA, while a No. 1 contenders match pits Travis Huckabee against Andy Brown. Other top-notch talent slated to perform includes Anthony Greene, The Shook Crew, Gabby Ortiz, Kennedi Copeland, The Haven, Kirby Wackerman, TJ Crawford, The Miracle Generation and many more.

Doors open at the Old Country Banquet Hall at 2 p.m., with bell time scheduled for 3 p.m. Front row seating is already sold out, but other tickets may be obtained by visiting BlitzkriegPro.net. Tickets will also be available at the door.
