With the last weeks of summer approaching it’s time to really enjoy the weekend. We’ve compiled a list of great things for you to check out with your friends and family this weekend.

Where/When: Enfield Senior Center, 299 Elm Street, August 26 at 1 p.m.
About: Aetna is sponsoring a National Wii Bowling Tournament, and the winner of the regional tournament will play the winner of the other three regions at the September AARP Convention. At the Senior Center, teams of 4 participants will rival other teams to find the highest score. Put your team together, and register in the Enfield Senior CEnter office. Participants must be 50 and over.

Where/When: PETCO, 25 Hazard Avenue, August 26 from 7 p.m.-8 p.m.
About: A meet and greet with some huggable pugs will take place at the Enfield PETCOf for an hour of treats and socialization.

Where/When: Hazard Grille, 39 Hazard Avenue, August 27 from 11:30 a.m.-noon
About: Wear your best Hawaiian shirts, and enjoy a fun-filled night with entertainment. Music will include the Higher Ground Band with Acoustic Rick from 7 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Enjoy tropical cocktails, fun contests and prizes.

Where/When: Villari’s Self-Defense Centers, 249 Hazard Avenue, August 27 at 2 p.m.
About: Villari’s Martial Arts Center will host a clinic open to the public and appropriate for any fitness level. The focus will be on locks and releases as well as other practical techniques. The $20 registration fee will be donated to the Network Against Domestic Abuse. Space is limited, so please contact the studio at 860.763.2136.
Price: $20 registration fee (100% will be donated to the Network Against Domestic Abuse).

Where/When: SS&C SummerWind, 40 Griffin Road N, Windsor, August 27 at 7:30 p.m.
About: Enjoy timeless show tunes performed by the Boston Pops under the summer sky’s stars. Under direction of conductor Gary Partridge, this professional concert ensemble of woodwinds, brass and percussion will be sure to dazzle and delight concertgoers of all ages.
Price: Tickets range from $35-$17
