Grab & Go Kids Planner: Storytime, Ice Skating, and Kitties

For the weekend of March 4-6

Here are some family-friendly activities to do this weekend to get some quality time into your week. We’d love to hear from you and your family if you attend the activities. As always, please let us know of anything fun coming up.

1. Story Time: The Tale of Peter Rabbit

Where/When: Enfield Barnes & Noble, Friday, March 4, 7 p.m. - Enfield Commons, 25 Hazard Ave., Enfield, (860) 745-7315

Why Go: Children will be read the story of Peter Rabbit with a surprise visit from the famous rabbit himself (be sure to bring a camera).

2. Ice Skating

Where/When: Enfield Twin Rinks, 1 Prior Rd., Enfield - March 5, 6:20-7:40 p.m. and March 6, 4-5:20 p.m.

Why Go: Great exercise and a great family activity!

Pricing: $7 to skate, $3 to rent

3. The Tale of Snow White

Where/When: Enfield High School Cafeteria - March 5 - Pasta Supper at 5:30 p.m. (catered by Country Diner); show at 7 p.m.

Why Go: Support local EHS Lamplighters and see an old-time favorite about Snow White and her seven dwarfs.

Pricing: $6 for dinner and show, $3 for show only - $30 for a family of 5 or more

4. Paws-itive Options Cat Adoptions

Where/When: Barnes & Noble Booksellers, 25 Hazard Ave., Enfield - March 6 at 10 a. m.

Why Go: Meet cats and kittens available through Paws-itive Options and help find animals homes.

Pricing: Free

5. Maple Day

Where/When: Stanley-Whitman House, 37 High St., Farmington - March 6, 1-3 p.m. 

Why Go: Celebrate sugaring season with demonstrations on how to make maple candies and maple-themed crafts and games. Refreshments will be served.

Pricing: $4
