July 19: Pharaohs, Food and Film

1. There are plenty of things for kids to do at the Enfield Central Library Tuesday. They can learn about Egypt during  at 1:30 p.m. (ages 4 and up); prepare fiesta quesadillas as part of  at 5 p.m. (ages 10-18); and attend a screening of the Jackie Chan movie  at 6 p.m. (ages 10-18).

2. Congratulations to Enfield resident Tom Vogel, who scored a hole-in-one at  July 7 on the 146-yard fifth hole, using a 7-iron. The ace was witnessed by Paul Cirillo, Rob Teneati and Jon Edwards.

3. The  meeting scheduled for Tuesday has been cancelled. The agency will next meet Sept. 6.

4. The National Weather Service says Tuesday will be mostly sunny, with a high temperature near 91. Tuesday night will be mostly clear, with a low around 62.
