Malloy to Visit Enfield's Thompsonville Transit Center Site on Thursday

The visit is to focus on the development of the site as a passenger rail station for the planned commuter rail line.

Gov. Dannel P. Malloy’s office has announced he will visit the future site of the Thompsonville Transit Center in Enfield on Thursday morning to meet with town officials and discuss the future development of the proposed passenger rail station, which will serve on the planned New Haven-Hartford-Springfield commuter rail line.

Also scheduled to attend are Enfield Town Manager Matthew Coppler, State Sen. John Kissel (R-7), State Rep. David Alexander (D-58), State Rep. David Kiner (D-59), members of the Enfield Town Council and the Economic Development Corp.

The visit is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Thursday at 33 North River St. in Enfield.
