Man Is Accused of Choking, Assaulting Enfield Woman

A Brooklyn, NY man is facing a number of charges including strangulation and assault following a domestic disturbance in Enfield on Monday night.

The suspect is accused of choking his pregnant girlfriend, an Enfield resident, who was trying to break up with him, according to a Hartford Courant report.

According to police records, Michael Grant, 30, was charged with third-degree assault, third-degree strangulation, second-degree breach of peace, second-degree unlawful restraint and risk of injury to a minor in connection with the incident at a Laurel Park residence about 7 p.m. May 4.
