Man Charged With Carjacking From Enfield Store
A police report states the man stole his friend's car from the Food Bag in Scitico and was captured across town shortly thereafter.

ENFIELD, CT — A Windsor Locks man was arrested early Saturday morning after allegedly stealing a friend's car from the Food Bag convenience store in Scitico.
Vincent Rodriguez, 36, was charged with robbery by carjacking and third-degree larceny. He was held on $25,000 bond, Police Chief Alaric Fox said.
A police report indicates the incident began at 1:26 a.m. with a report of a stolen 2003 Nissan Maxima from the Food Bag at the corner of Taylor Road and Hazard Avenue. The complainant, William Reyome, said his friend, Rodriguez, was angry that he would not give him a ride home to Windsor Locks, so he assaulted Reyome and fled westbound on Route 190 with Reyome initially hanging out of the car window.

An officer located the Nissan, being driven by Rodriguez, clear across town at the Motel 6 on Hazard Avenue. He claimed it was Reyome who assaulted him, causing him to flee in the man's car, Fox said.
The police report stated both men were intoxicated. Reyome was charged with operating under the influence, and was released on a $1,000 nonsurety bond, Fox said.
